I should add that The Good Muslim was not originally intended to be screened separately as a stand-alone film. It is a more or less 'conventional' short film which was produced for the Commentary project.
However, in the end I decided to give it a short run at some festivals to make the point that the two films, The Good Muslim and Commentary, are two different films. The Good Muslim is now a companion piece to Commentary, but it would not have been made on its own.
I am very happy that the film received independent recognition (it received some award in each of the festivals that screened it) but conceptually it is work-in-progress, and as such just a precursor of Commentary.
